Alpine Air to start flights from January
Alpine Air has announced that that it would start international flights from the third week of January, 2010. Addressing a press meet organized on December 14, Surendra Malla, chairman of the airlines, informed that the airline would use Bahrain Air´s Airbus 319-100 aircraft with 132 seat configuration for the flights. “The aircraft will have 12 seats in business class and 120 seats in economy class,” Malla added.
The airline will initially fly seven times a week to New Delhi. However, it plans to add flights to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Guangzhou (China), Mumbai (India) and Doha after acquiring two aircraft - A319 and A320.

Malla alsos said they were investing $11 million on the new venture.

Hari Bhakta Shrestha, CEO of Alpine Air, said the airline would offer New Delhi flights at a relatively cheaper rate.
