| Bahrain Air, a privately owned budget airline, is all set to launch its scheduled flights to Kathmandu from March 17. According to Zenith Travels, the general sales agents of the airline in Kathmandu, the airline will fly to Kathmandu three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. |

| Himalayan Rescue Association on February 16 organised a programme on the use of helicopter to conduct rescue operations in mountains.
Renny Jackson, co-coordinator of rescue team of Grand Teton National Park of the USA, made a special presentation on the use of helicopter to conduct rescue operations in mountains. "Lives of mountaineers can be rescued by the effective use of choppers. Choppers are very important for mountainous countries like Nepal to assure safety and security of mountaineers," he said. |

| The 10th National Opean Paragliding Championship will be held on February 19 to 21 in Pokhara. The event, which was originally scheduled to be held on January, was postponed to February because of some technical problems, according to the organisers.
