Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has decided to organize International Mountaineers' Meet on May 29, coinciding with the Everest Day. Hundreds of Everest summiteers from across the globe are expected to attend the meet.

Arrivals up 34.6 pc in March
Tourist arrival in the month of March recorded a robust growth of 34.6 percent as compared to arrival figure recorded in the same month last year. According to data collected by Immigration Office, TIA, and disseminated by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), a total of 44,431 visitors entered Nepal via air in March.

Changes in TIMS provision from April 1

TAAN, workers' unions ink deal

German paraglider goes missing in Fewa Lake
German paraglider Christoph Andreas Sattler (26) has gone missing in Fewa Lake since February 5. Christoph plunged into the lake while performing a dangerous stunt from the glider. He had taken off from the jumping site at Sarangkot and the mishap occurred when he plunged into the lake by undoing the straps.

CAAN cancels AOC of three airlines
Three airlines – Yeti International, Cosmic Air and Impro Airways – have lost their Air Operation Certificate (AOC) after they failed to renew their periodic license. The AOC were nullified from January 11 as per the Aviation Regulations, according to Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN), the aviation regulator.
