TOUR DETAILS
Day 01: Arrival Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to the hotel. After your overseas flight, relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening.
Day 02: Beijing
Your first day of touring in our capital city will begin with strolling across the Tiananmen Square - the largest and most imposing public square in the world. Through the Meridian Gate on the north side of the square, you will enter the fabled Forbidden City to appreciate its majesty and magnificence. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven where the emperor, twice each year, would visit to thank the Gods for a good harvest and pray for the new one. To perfect a memorable start to your tour, you will have Beijing Duck Dinner at the famous century-old Quan Ju De restaurant followed by a fascinating Peking Opera performance. (B, L, D)
Day 03: Beijing
It is a once in a life time experience to walk upon the Badaling Great Wall of China. More than 2,500 years old, this fortification was constructed to protect China from the savage Northern tribes. After your historic visit to the Great Wall, you will visit Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs - the burial site of the royalty during the Ming Dynasty. Entrance to this sacred burial ground is via the Sacred Way, an avenue where large animal statues stand guard. (B, L)
Day 04: Beijing - Xi'an
This morning you will marvel at the treasures of the Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in the world. And then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Xi'an - the ancient capital of China for 11 dynasties. After checking in at the hotel, you will be accompanied to visit the ancient well-preserved City Wall. Tonight you will feast at a special Chinese Dumpling Dinner Banquet. (B, L, D)
Day 05: Xi'an
Today's highlight is a visit to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. The museum is home to an entire army of life-sized clay soldiers buried centuries ago to guard the underground tomb of China's first emperor - Qin Shihuang. After this you will be transferred back to the city where you will visit the Forest of Stone Steles Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Your dinner served for this evening will be the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show at the Tang Dynasty Palace (#48, Chang An Bei Lu, Xian). (B, L, D)
Day 06: Xi'an - Guilin
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Check in at the hotel upon arrival in this romantic and beautiful city. The remaining time is for you to visit the Fobo Hill and the Seven Star Park, each of which commands a breathtaking view. (B, L)
Day 07: Guilin - Yangshuo
Depart your hotel in the morning. Upon arrival at the Zhujiang Dock, board your ship and start cruising on the picturesque and resplendent Li River. Lunch will be served on board. Then disembark your ship when arriving in Yangshuo - an ancient town famous for peaceful rural scenery. Check in at a three-star Paradise Resort Hotel. (B, L)
Day 08: Yangshuo
We intend to leave the day for free leisure on your own. You will feel totally relaxed while strolling across the famous West Street (Xijie), where you could sip and taste tea in a sidewalk café, or purchase souvenirs for your friends and families. For option, you could also rent a bicycle to visit the Moon Hill and the tall Banyan Tree. (B)
Day 09: Yangshuo - Guilin - Zhangjiajie
After breakfast at hotel return to Guilin by car. You will visit the beautiful illuminated Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Then take an overnight soft sleeper train to Zhangjiajie. (B, L)
Day 10: Zhangjiajie
Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie in the afternoon, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Zhangjiajie is home to three ethnic minorities - Tujia, Bai and Miao. Today you will have chance to appreciate the local culture of the ethnic minority in a Tujia Village. Breakfast and lunch will be served by your own. (D)
Day 11: Zhangjiajie
A whole day tour to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You will see the main attractions of Zhangjiajie including Yellow Lion Village and Gold Whip stream. The Yellow Lion Village is the highest peak in the region and offers the best views of the surrounding scenery. In the Golden Whip Stream you can enjoy the dense forest and grotesque-shaped peaks on either of its bank. If you get tired, you can rest on a rock by the stream and watch fish swimming in the water. Stay overnight at the hotel in the area. (B, L)
Day 12: Zhangjiajie
Today your destination will be the Tianzi Mount Nature Reserve, another fascinating spot of the Wulingyuan Area. You will visit the ten miles gallery, the Xihaifenlin and the Black Dragon Park. The beautiful scenery is really like a tourist drawing card. (B, L)
Day 13: Zhangjiajie - Shanghai
This morning, you will proceed to the Yellow Dragon Cave. All along The cave are stalagmites and stalactites varied in shape and color. After lunch, visit BaoFeng Lake. Boating in the Lake, one sees countless peaks mirrored in the green water and enjoys poetic beauty. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. (B, L)
Day 14: Shanghai
You must see and experience Shanghai to appreciate its cosmopolitan flavor. At the Shanghai Museum, you will see first hand beauty. The museum's displays show Chinese art from ceramics to jade to furniture. After sensing Shanghai's past, you will see Shanghai's future at the TV Tower of Oriental Pearl - the world's third tallest TV tower. The remaining time is for you to visit the Yuyuan Garden. In the evening, you will be treated to a magnificent Portman Acrobatic Show. (B, L, D)
Day 15: Farewell Shanghai
Upon completion of you memorable China tour, today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. (B)
