Sirubari Village Tour - 10days
Sirubari village is a totally unspoiled Gurung settlement in the hills at 1700 meters above sea level and short drive / walk (soft adventure) from Pokhara. The climate is ideal at any time during the September to June season with warm days and cool nights. This program is especially designed to know the locals and their culture staying in an unspoiled village atmosphere living as a family member. You will be welcomed into the community and invited to stay in the home of one of the village families. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with good bedding and clean toilet (not attached one) facilities. The food is delicious and you will be eating as one of the family. Each night there will be entertainment provided by the community. This will be in the form of traditional Gurung and Nepali dancing and singing, you can join in if you like. During your stay you will be able to feel what is like to live the life of a Nepali villager.
Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel
Day 2: After breakfast proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city.
Back to hotel have rest and in the afternoon again start half day sightseeing tour of Bajrabarahi and Chapagaon.
Day 3: After breakfast drive approx 6 hrs. to Pokhara.
Arrive Pokhara and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: After breakfast proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara city including Devi’s fall, Gupteshwore Mahadev cave, Seti River, Bindhyabasani temple and Barahi temple with one hour boating on Phewa lake.
Day 5: After breakfast drive to Sirubari via Badkhola, Darau.
Stop for lunch en route Syangja Bazar and arrive Sirubari village between 4 to 5 pm. Welcome ceremonies, blessing by village lama, snacks and allocation of accommodation.
Day 6: Depart village on foot for mountain views and sunrise at Thumro.
Snacks will be served at Maidan Kharka before sunrise. After viewing sun rise return to Sirubari. Breakfast and Lunch at home. After lunch visit village, funeral place, school and back to home. Dinner with family. Evening culture program at gompa.
Day 7: Breakfast with family and meet group at gompa for farewell ceremony.
Depart Sirubari at 8.30 am for Pokhara via Karkinetta, Seti Doban and Naudanda. Stop for lunch en route. Arrive Pokhara and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to airport for Pokhara / Kathmandu flight.
Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Free in Kathmandu.
Day 10: Transfer to airport for departure flight.
NOTE : You will not get hot showers, television, bottled beer, hamburgers at Sirubari
