Day 1: Fly: Chengdu - Lhasa  (2.5 hours flight)

Arrival, will be greeted and transfer to hotel in Lhasa 70kms/1 1/2hrs


Day 2: Sightseeing in Lhasa – Drepung / Norbulinka

In the morning we will have a guided tour to the largest monastery in Tibet, Drepung monastery .  In the afternoon we will visit Norbulinka which means beautiful gardens in Tibetan. This garden covers an area of 36 hectares and it is the annual vacation home for the 7th to the 14th Dalai Lama who spend most of their summer here.


Day 3: Sightseeing in Lhasa – Potala palace / Sera / Jokhang temple & Barkhor

This day we will visit the Potala palace in the morning one of the most famous architectural works of Tibet and known as the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas. After that we will visit Sera monastery and continue to the Jokhang Temple Tibet's holiest temple which contains a jeweled image of the Buddha. After that we will experience the Barkhor Square , an old market square where you'll see wily Chinese and ancient Tibetans bargaining for goods. We will stay overnight in Lhasa.


Day 4:
Lhasa - Gyantze (3950 M.) - 280kms/7hrs

Drive to Gyangtse, en route with a stop at Kampala pass for great views of Yamdrok lake, arrival in Gyantse, check in hotel and relax for the rest of the day, over night hotel.


Day 5: Gyantze - Shigatse  (3900 M) - 90kms / 2hrs

Touring Palchor Chode monastery including the Kumbum stupa, at noon drive to Shigatse, en route, we will stop at local farm-lands to visit locals and explore how locals live their daily life, working on their farm-lands, arrival in Shigatse, touring Tashi Lunpo monastery and the local traditional market, overnight hotel in Shigatse.


Day 6: Shigatse/ Xegar

We will be heading towards the town of Shegar, which we might call it the gateway to Mt. Everest area. Beyond the small town of Lhatse we cross the two highest pass on our journey, the Gyula and Gyatsola. From here we'll descend to the plains, passing lonely monasteries and the camps of nomadic herders, en-route to Xegar. The drive is approximately 8 hours to Xegar. O/nt at Hotel Quomolangma.

Day 7: Xegar / Zhang Mu

Drive to Zhangmu crossing Lalung la Pass (5050m) and Nyalamu Pass (3800m) which is decorated with multicolored prayer flags fluttering in the wind. This drive offers fantastic view of high mountains including Mt. Langtang (7245 m), Mt. Xixapangma (8013 m), Mt. Dorje Lakpa (6980 m), Mt. Makalu (8464 m), Mt. Everest (8848 m), Mt.Lotse (8501 m), Mt. Cho oyu (8200 m). Along the zigzag road drive down Nyalam (3.600 m) gradually and leave the landscape of the high plateau behind us and see the Himalayas covered in the sea of clouds and reach Zhangmu. O/nt at Hotel Zhangmu


Day 8: Zhang Mu - Kathmandu ; 10kms from Zhangmu to border " friendship bridge "

After breakfast, we go through the immagration formalities and then drive 15min to friend-ship bridge (Friendship bridge to Kathmandu is 114 Kms.)
At the Friendship bridge the Nepali team will pick you up at around 9:00 am (Nepal time) and then proceed to Kathmandu. After driving for approx. 3 km (84 km), we will arrive to a beautiful place called Dhulihel where we will stop for lunch and some rest.

After lunch drive another (30 km) about one hour or so (depends on the traffic) and we will reach Kathmandu. Check into hotel. Rest, have dinner and over night in hotel.


Day 9: Kathmandu – Half day sightseeing – Pashupati and Boudha

After lunch you will be taken to visit the Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world. It is situated 5km east from city center. The richly ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate its existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple also a World Heritage Sites.

Next, move on to Boudha where lies the most popular and revered Boudhanath Stupa.

Boudhanath: It lies about 6km to the east of down town Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the valley. It looms 36m high and presents one of the most fascinating specimen of stupa design. Boudhnath, a World Heritage site, is also known as “Little Tibet”. There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in the area.
Evening: drive back to hotel. Over night in hotel.


Day 10: Kathmandu – Sigthseeing Patan, Swambhunath and Durbar Square

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 9:00 from the hotel and taken for a full day
guided sightseeing.

Patan Durbar Square like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace building, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. The former Royal place complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. One remarkable monument here is a 17th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Krishna built entirely of stone. It is listed on World Heritage site list.

Move on to Swayambhunath - the “Monkey Temple”, which is considered as the oldest Buddhist stupa that watches over the valley from the top of hillock on its western side. The stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites of Nepal. Its establishment is linked to the creation of Kathmandu valley out of primordial lake. It’s listed in World Heritage site list.

And finally visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square. This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries used to be the seat of Malla kings of Kathmandu. The Durbar square, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the social religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also several Museums inside the palace building. Walk through the bazaar and labyrinthine back streets of the old city.
Drive / walk back to hotel. Dinner and overnight hotel.


Day 11: Drive to Pokhara and stay overnight (200 Km / 8 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara we check into the hotel. You will have time to relax, stroll along the lake and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and quiet environment.

Pokhara is an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley. It is the starting point of many of Nepal’s most popular trekking and rafting destinations and is a place of remarkable beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the Fish tailed the summit of Machhapuchhare (6977m) rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and magic. Pokhara is a part of a once vibrant caravan route extending between India and Tibet.


Day 12: Drive to Naudanda, trek to Sarangkot

In the morning we will drive to Naudanda which will take approximately one hour. From there we will walk to Sarankot. This will take approximately one hour but you can do it at your own pace, enjoying all the views on the way. In Sarankot you will have really nice view on the mountains and will enjoy the beautiful sunset.

The village of Sarankot (1590 m) is situated on the top of a hillock just north of Fewa Lake. One gets to see beautiful views of sunrise and sunset from Sarankot as the sun splashes hues of red on the Himalayan range. On a clear day, the panoramic ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Ganesh Himal can be observed from here.


Day 13: Trek Sarangkot to Pokhara and stay overnight

In the morning we will visit a huge tower that will give you an even better view on the mountain region and we will start our trek back to Pokhara, which will be down the mountain and will take approximately 3 hours accompanied by a great scenery.


Day 14: Drive to Chitwan (150 Km / 6 /7 hours drive)

In the morning we will drive to Chitwan National park where we will have lunch and be briefed by the camp manager about the coming days. Overnight at hotel.

The Chitwan National Park (960 Sq. Km), formally a hunting reserve for the royal families, boats of one of the richest areas in wildlife and tall grassland habitat.


Day 15: Chitwan

During your stay in Chitwan National Park you will Canoe Ride down the Rapti River to enjoy the spices of birds and you can see the Crocodiles on the riverbank. After the trip ended, you will enjoy the Ox-Cart ride back to the camp by passing the Tharu village thereafter followed by -the Elephant back riding! These well-trained elephants will take us into the deeper parts of the jungle where grazing one horned rhino and summer deer abound. If luck is on our side, we may catch glimpses of the sloth bear, gaur and ever the endangered Bengal tigers. Over night at hotel.


Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu (165 km, approx 4 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Kathmandu through a meandering road that runs parallel to the River Trishuli. Upon reaching Kathmandu you will check into your hotel.
In the evening around 18:30 you will be taken for a typical Nepali dinner with a traditional cultural program (that will go on for about 2.5 hours). Overnight in hotel.


Day 17: Flight Kathmandu/Amsterdam

You have your free time until the departure. There will be a transfer to airport in time to be able to board the flight back home.
