Mt. Kailash Circumambulation -14 days

Kathmandu - Kailash - Kathmandu  via Zhang-Mu
The Tibet border at Kodari is a five hour drive from Kathmandu. Another one days drive from Zhang-Mu takes us to Saga. Tour duration (13-15 days). The tour is designed to provide some insight into Tibet and its way of life and culture  with visits to some of Tibet's less well known Monasteries. The trek also provides the opportunity to partake in the Holy pilgrimage around Mount Kailash.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Drive Kathmandu / Nyalam (3750 m.). Overnight Guest house
Day 2: Rest at Nyalam
Day 3: Nyalam / Saga (4600 m.) camp.
Day 4: Saga / Paryang (4550 m.) camp.
Day 5: Paryang / Chiu Gomba (4550 m.) camp.
Day 6: Chiu Gomba / Gosul Gomba (4540 m.)
Day 7: Gosul Gomba / Darchen (4520 m.) camp.
Day 8: Darchen / Dera Phuk Gomba (4860 m.) camp - A three day trek around Mt. Kailash
Day 9: Dera Phuk Gomba / Zutul Phuk Gomba (4760 m.) camp.
Day 10: Zutul Phuk Gomba / Horaa (4500 m.) camp.
Day 11: Horaa / Paryang camp.
Day 12: Paryang / Saga camp.
Day 13: Saga / Nyalam. Overnight Guest house.
Day 14: Nyalam / Zhang-Mu / Kathmandu.

Notes:
  • All tours will start from Kathmandu and minimum 2 days required to be here in Kathmandu before departure date
  • Everyone required normal passport (not diplomatic or others) with minimum valid of 6 months
  • After the Kailash trek, if some one like to extend their trip to Lhasa, can be arrange on request, no problem of splitting from the group, with assumption of bearing extra cost.
  • On request trip itinerary can be extended or extra days can be arrange with reasonable additional cost
  • If above dates not fit, or want to have private tour, can be arranged any dates without any problem
  • For Sagadawa festivals and other pilgrimages tour can be arrange as per request.
  • Trek to Simikot with combining Kailash can be arrange but required minimum 2 people.
