Pemako, an isolated valley situated in

a botanist's paradise. This verdant valley
is protected by the huge rampart of Mt.
Namcho Barwa (7756 m.) and Mt. Gyala Pelri

the highest unclimbed peak in the Earth.
Mt. Gyala Pelri towers just 21 km opposite
of Mt. Namcho Barwa across the Tsangpo
River (Bramhaputra). In between these giant
massive is the 5000 meter deep gorge where
the River Bramhaputra, one of the great
rivers of Asia originated in the hinterland
of Mt. Kailash bends dramatically and drops
down rapidly to the Northeast of India
before converging in to the bay of Bangal.
