Mohare danda (3,300 m) is the hill situated in the gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains of Myagdi district. The hill is 3 km away from the popular trekking destination the Poon hill. The difficulty level of the trek is moderate and best suits to family trek also.

Best Season: Spring (March, April, May), autumn (Sept, Oct, Nov)

The Mohare Danda Trek is also known by the name ‘Eco Lodge Community Trek’ and ‘Myagdi Community Eco Trek”. Besides other crowded regions of Annapurna region, the trek to Mohare Danda is off-beaten path whose trail passes through the laps of hills, mountains, forests, rivers and much more. The forests on the route offer different vegetation like Oak, Bamboo, Pine, Rhododendron etc. From February to April the Rhododendron blossoms in a forest making the land colorful. So it’s also called Rhododendron trekking. Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal and from its nectar wild bee prepare a honey which gives the nostalgic effect. A drive to the trekking point passes along Trishuli and Kaligandaki River. Not only the natural beauty during the trek but culturally rich Magar and Gurung communities and the rural lifestyle is also the cynosure of the trek. Those communities offer domestic staying and preserve the sustainable eco-tourism. Myagdi being the birthplace of IT pioneer and popular figure Mahabir Pun the region is facilitated with electronic communique. This enables trekkers to keep connect themselves with their dear ones.

The Mohare Danda offers a closer view of eye catching snowcapped mountains of Annapurna or Dhaulagiri range than that from Poon hill. The major mountains include Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machhapuchre (6993 m), Neel Giri (7061 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m). Also the hill is best suited to observe amazing landscapes, glorious sunrise and sunset view over the glittering mountains.

Drive Kathmandu / Pokhara (830 m) - 6 hrs

Having a breakfast in your hotel you’ll have a ride to Pokhara which is 200 km driving distance from Kathmandu. On the route the Prithvi highway offers you the beautiful landscapes in the lap of hills, rivers, local communities, greenery and naturalism. Your destination Pokhara is the city of lakes and a favorite tourist destination sitting in the lap of mountains. Overnight in hotel at Pokhara.

Drive Pokhara / Galeshwor (1170 m) - 4 hrs, Trek Galeshwor / Bans Kharka (1525 m) - 3 hrs

Galeshwor is the starting point of our trekking which is approximately 85 km away from Lakeside, Pokhara. On the way there’s the world’s deepest gorge of Kaligandaki River. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Bans Kharka. Overnight in Eco lodge at Bans Kharka.

Trek Bans Kharka / Naangi - (2230 m) - 7 hrs

Starting from Bans Kharka we pass through Magar village to reach Naangi. The route passes from green landscape and magnificent landscapes. Overnight in Eco lodge at Naangi.

Trek Naangi / Mohare Danda (3300 m) - 7 hrs

Today is the day to meet our destination Mohare Danda. The forest on the way is densely occupied with Rhododendron trees. It’s the day to catch stunning sunset from the Mohare Danda in our eyes and the lens. The major mountains seen from there are Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machhapuchre (6993 m), Neel Giri (7061 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m). Overnight in lodge at Mohare Danda.

Trek Mohare Danda / Deurali (3090 m) - 5 hrs

With the warmth of morning sunrays we trek along gradual ups and downs to reach Deurali. On the way we see Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Neel Giri (7061 m), Machhapuchre (6993 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m). Overnight in lodge at Deurali.

Trek Deurali / Ghandruk village (1940 m) - 5 hrs

From Deurali, we pass through Rhododendron forest to reach Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the Gurung community full of heritage and Ghandruk culture. A local museum there lets you know the more detail of their culture. The hospitality local people exhibit to the guests is exceptional. You have a time to roam around old village there. Overnight in hotel at Ghandruk.

Trek Ghandruk / Nayapul (1070 m), Drive Nayapul / Pokhara (830 m) – 4 hrs

It’s time to say bye to the trek and have a ride. We leave Ghandruk after having breakfast and pass through different villages and Modi Khola (stream) to reach Nayapul. Nayapul is also known as the gateway to Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. From Nayapul we drive back to Pokhara. Overnight in hotel at Pokhara.

Drive Pokhara / Kathmandu (1350 m) - 6 hrs

After breakfast, today we drive back to the capital city Kathmandu. You’ll have some time to explore the market of Kathmandu on your own. Nature Trail will provide you the farewell dinner in a hotel. Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.

Departure transfer to international airport
