The Fishtail Off the beaten path trek is ideal for solitude seeking adventurous trekkers, who are looking for a camping trek. This beautiful trek leads us through green mountain meadows, with innocent herds of sheep grazing nearby. Meanwhile, pieces of clouds fluttering in the blue sky, next to full blooming Rhododendrons and snow-capped peaks in the background. It is one of the most picturesque short camping trek of “Nature Trail”. This is a well-rounded complete countryside tour, where you learn a lot about the nature, culture and life in the Himalayas. In addition, enjoy a beautifully clear sky full of stars very close.

Drive Pokhara to Bhujung Khola

Meet our Nature Trail Crew and prepare your luggage. Asfter a short drive we start to trek through a beautiful river valley and forest. On the way, you will meet Gurung people and get to know more about the Nepali lifestyle. Tonight we stay amidst the rhododendron forest, while we camp in nature.

Walking time: 6-7 hrs

Piper Lake (3800m)

Today after breakfast we will start walking. This is a bit of steep walking up the hill, followed by bamboo, pine and rhododendron forest. If you are lucky, we might encounter a leopard or bear. Therefore, it is important to stay in the team and walk together. We have lunch near by the shepherd’s cottage. But for sure is that we will see crowds of sheep and enjoy the views of the cliff landscape. Again steep up until we reach the Piper Lake.

Walking time: 7-9 hrs

Start walking after the breakfast.

Today, the trail ascends by the wild herb garden until you reach the viewpoint hill. We will serve a packed lunch at this place and you will also camp at this place. This is a nice open campsite from where you can enjoy the stunning view of Fishtail. After lunch, you have the option to walk about a hour to the top of the main hill station, which provides the closest view of beautiful Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) as well as amazing landscape. Later, once sun goes down, enjoy the picturesque sunset. When you walk back to your tent, dinner will be ready to serve.

Walking time: 7 hours

After breakfast, trek down to the riverside.

In the morning, you can walk to the hill station again, and enjoy probably the best sunrise view in the world, something you’ve never seen before. Back to the tent and enjoy breakfast. Then we start walking, on the way you will serve pack lunch. Today you will camp near a natural hot spring of 42 degree. Enjoy the hot spring, local food, local millet wine and the serene surroundings.

Walking time: 7 hours

This is a last day of your trek.

Enjoy walk along the honey hunter’s wild bee cliff, before we reach the lake where our trek ends. This place might be busy with fishermen fishing, and farmers in the fields. We will drive back to Pokhara where we have lunch.
